About UsMy company provides specially collected tree saps for semen companies and researchers interested in freezing cell lines cryogenically. The idea for this came out of the need to freeze avian semen cells more successfully. Avian semen cells are the hardest cells to freeze because of their long thin shape. These cells are also "honest" about the liquid suspension they are housed in. They live well, or die easily if the suspension harms them.

Who We Are

After reading numerous articles on the internet it was apparent that many of the scientists and researchers that were attempting to freeze semen had met with limited success. It was clear that the current techniques for freezing semen in liquid nitrogen were only partially successful. The chemicals for doing this work were many, varied, costly and only part of the answer for full success, falling short of what is possible.
Somehow, the process of cryopreservation needed to be simplified. A simple question needed to be asked. Is there something we can harvest from Mother Nature to help us to freeze our cell lines? After all, Mother Nature has been freezing things since time began. This basic premise lead to the idea that is now CryoSaps Inc. Amazingly cells that were frozen using the CryoSaps protocol came alive on thawing, almost as if they had never been frozen! |
My History |
ON A PERSONAL NOTE: I have a Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University and a Wildlife Ecology Degree (natural sciences option) from the University of Wisconsin Madison. My interests include the natural world in all of its aspects. Conservation and the preservation of endangered species are some of my key interests. One of my hobbies is semen cryopreservation.
